A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa and Jimmi’s wedding here in Charlottesville, VA. Jimmi and Melissa both went to UVA, so what better place to say I do than the UVA Chapel. It’s an exquisit chapel to host an intimate wedding. It’s certainly a place I always visit when I’m walking the grounds.
There was a break in between the ceremony and reception. This left us with plenty of time to wander around the grounds in search of great photo ops! Melissa and Jimmi were such troopers; they walked here, walked there, sat here and leaned there. The result… cool photos with an awesome couple!
After our portrait session we all headed to the Double Tree Hotel for the reception. Melissa, Jimmi and their friends (and their grandparents!) know how to kick it. I was all over that dance floor trying to capture every hilarious moment. Plus I threw out a couple moves here and there.
