Back in the states…

Ryan and I are back in the United States. It’s been a very hectic transition back home. We arrived in Atlanta, GA on Wednesday night and spent the evening with my brother and sister-in-law. Ryan and I were really craving Chili’s so we grabbed a quick bite to eat before heading off to sleep. Thursday we spent the entire day searching for a place to live in Atlanta. It was hard driving around all day after spending about 20 hours on a plane. Friday morning I headed to Nashville to shoot a rehearsal dinner and a wedding. Even with a bit of jetlag remaining, I managed well and had a fantastic time with the couple. Today is the first day that Ryan and I are taking it easy since being back… and boy does it feel nice.

Before I make a post about the wedding this weekend, I wanted to share a few more photos from our last few days in Sydney. The last two days were pretty cool in Sydney. The sun was out but the wind was strong. We spent one day doing a day hike from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach. It was simply stunning. The coastal line reminded us of Big Sur in California. Our last day was spent with our friend Pete from Darden and his girlfriend. They took us out to Watson Bay for a few drinks and then we ate lunch at one of Pete’s favorite Pubs. Lunch was amazing, but dessert was even better! Pete and Kate dropped Ryan and I off around Crown Street where we made our way to Bourke Street Bakery. Even though we had just eaten lunch we had to try some sweets. We ordered the flourless chocolate cake and a creme brulee tart. Both were so amazing that when we circled back around the bakery to make our way home we contemplated dropping in for one more round. I’m positive that if Ryan and I make it back to Sydney we’ll be stopping there for more desserts.
