Joanna and Nick, Charlottesville, VA Wedding

Awhile back I traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia to capture Joanna and Nick’s wedding. I lived in this small town for two years while Ryan was attending Darden Business School. It’s a gorgeous town. Ryan and I both loved living there and are always excited when we have the opportunity to return.  Luckily for me I’ll be returning a few more times as  I’ve got three brides getting married in there this year. I guess it’s true… Virginia is for lovers!

Joanna and Nick got married at Holy Comforter Catholic Church in the downtown area. The couple had a lot of out of state guests and shuttled them in from the hotel with help of UVA buses. You could feel the love for this couple as guests filled the sanctuary. After a very sweet ceremony everyone headed to UVA’s Alumni Hall. Alumni Hall is a great venue for an event. Even though both couples have a history with UVA - Thomas Jefferson wore a West Virginia hat in honor of all those Mountaineers and a Lafayette scarf for all those Leopards.

The reception rocked and everyone had a ton of fun. Be on the lookout for their photo booth images – crazy fun!!! A special thanks to Cody Grannis with Amore Events for helping coordinate the day. Below are a collaboration of images from both me and Leah Hill. Enjoy!
