Atlanta Botanical Garden Wedding Sneak Peak: Madeleine and Nathaniel

I had the pleasure of photographing Madeleine and Nathaniel’s wedding at the amazing Atlanta Botanical Gardens a couple weeks ago. I feel in love with this couple the second we met. I remember Nathaniel and Madeleine walking in to meet me and Madeleine had a huge smile on her face. As she and Nathaniel got closer, their arms opened and I got a big hugs from each of them. Like Freddie Freeman ,from the Atlanta Braves,  I’m a fan of hugs!!!  I knew this meeting was going to go well!

Here’s a sneak peak from their fall wedding… enjoy!!! And remember, check back later for more images from their fun wedding!

Atlanta Family Photography Sneak Peak

Is this photo adorable or what? I adore Ava’s expression as her parents love on her.  Family portraits are always a lot of fun for me. It’s a good thing too because with Fall, comes lots of portraits. Here’s just a quick sneak peak from my time at the Duck Pond with this beautiful family – more images to come soon!!!

Want to schedule a family portrait session? It’s easy… just email me at

There’s still plenty of time to schedule your session and get the prints in time to make your Christmas card. Hope to hear from you soon!

New Jersey Wedding at the Liberty House: Jill and Daniel

I love getting to travel for weddings. This time I headed back to the New York/New Jersey area for a wedding. Jill and Daniel are an amazing couple who I met last year while photographing a wedding in St. Louis. It was at this wedding that Jill and Daniel mentioned to me they were engaged and would love for me to be a part of their celebration. Jill and Daniel still had a year to go but I remember being blown away by their clear vision for their special day. For a year I anticipated this wedding. I probably was just as excited as the couple, haha! I couldn’t wait to get there and see everything come to life.

The couple had their wedding on Friday night at the Liberty House in New Jersey. What a fantastic location!!! The NYC skyline made for a breathtaking backdrop for their ceremony especially when the sun set and the buildings lit up in red and orange reflections. This is the first wedding I’ve ever done where the couple had an aerial photographer.  Jill and Daniel told me about this surprise at the rehearsal dinner and boy was I excited. I’m not kidding, it was awesome! Earlier in the day the couple did a First Look at the W Hotel providing them time to enjoy their cocktail hour with their friends and family.  The reception was on the top floor of the Liberty House. The wrap around porch and large windows gave guests a grand view of the Hudson River and New York City as they dined and danced the night away with the happy couple.

The wedding celebration didn’t end there though. Jill and Daniel extended an invite to guests to join them for a pizza party at her Uncles house on Saturday. Jill told me stories of her family going there and cooking up some delicious pies in the brick oven. It was a lot of fun and the pizzas were amazing! I think my favorite was her Uncles 4th of July pie – just might have to make a few next year for my family! Saturday’s party was a perfect way for Jill and Daniel to thank their guests and wrap up an incredible wedding weekend. I’ll post images from the cookout later, but for now enjoy the images below from their wedding day.

Barnsley Gardens Resort Wedding: Emily and Jon

Emily and Jon are from Nashville but wanted to get away for the weekend to celebrate their wedding. They thought about a destination wedding, like on an exotic beach somewhere, but wanted the location to be accessible to their friends and family. So came the idea of Barnsley Gardens. It was out of Nashville, yet close enough for those traveling and of course, stunningly beautiful. Emily and Jon tied the knot on Friday but had guests come in earlier and stay through the weekend to continue the celebration. It worked well because there was a concert on grounds Saturday night that everyone got to enjoy.

I had a lot of fun at this wedding and really enjoyed being a part of their special day!!! Wishing you guys nothing but the best. Congratulations!!!
